Al-Ra'd Verse 24 and al-Ghadir
Template:Infobox Verse Al-Ra'd Verse 24 is a verse mentioned in the al-Ghadir Sermon, which describes the blissful end of the followers (Shi'a) of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.
The context for the use of al-Ra'd Verse 24 in the event of al-Ghadir has been described by some researchers as follows:[1]
Following the objection of Harith b. Nu'man al-Fihri to the divine selection at al-Ghadir and the descent of a heavenly stone upon him, the Prophet (s) addressed the crowd, saying: "Did you see with your own eyes?" They replied: "Yes." He said: "Did you hear with your own ears?" They replied: "Yes." He then said: "Blessed is he who loves Ali and woe to him who bears enmity toward him. I see Ali and his followers being carried on the Day of Resurrection on camels toward the gardens of Paradise, while their faces are youthful, wearing crowns, and their eyes are adorned with kohl."
Continuing his speech, after referring to Al-A'raf Verse 49, Al-Tawba Verse 72, and Al-Zukhruf Verse 71, the Prophet (s) recited al-Ra'd Verse 24: 
سَلامٌ عَلَیْکُمْ بِما صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَی الدّارِ
. He then said: "The angels will say to them: 'Peace be upon you for your patience, and this is a blissful end.'"[2]
