Hadith al-Ghadir bi-Riwayat Ibn Kathir (book)
Ḥadīth al-Ghadīr bi-Riwāyat Ibn Kathīr (The Hadith of Ghadir According to Ibn Kathir), written by Nizār Āl-Sunbul al-Qatīfī, examines the mutawātir (mass-transmitted) narration of Ghadir based on Ibn Kathīr al-Dimashqī's account. Ibn Kathīr was a renowned scholar of the eighth century AH. In this work, the author presents Ibn Kathīr's own view of Hadith al-Ghadir and critically examines and analyzes it.

Author
Nizar Āl-Sunbul al-Qatīfī was born on December 21, 1965, in Qatif. He began his primary education in the village of al-Jash and later, as a teenager, pursued his studies in Qom and Najaf. He continued his seminary studies and became one of the muqarrirs (students who record and compile their teacher's advanced lectures) of Ayatollah Shaykh Ḥusayn Waḥīd Khorāsānī and a teacher at the seminaries of Qom and Najaf. At the request of his teacher, Ayatollah Waḥīd Khorāsānī, he went to Najaf, where he established the Amīr al-Muʾminīn School and began teaching advanced courses in fiqh and uṣūl.

Content of the Book
In this book, following an introduction on the life of Ibn Kathīr, Hadith al-Ghadir, as narrated by Ibn Kathīr in his book al-Bidāya wa-l-Nihāya, is selected and presented after extensive research. It comprises one hundred hadiths narrated by different transmitters and in different versions.
This is followed by the hadith concerning the mission of Amīr al-Muʾminīn (a) to Yemen, as narrated by Ibn Kathīr in the same book, which comprises thirty-two hadiths.
