From WikiGhadir

Template:Infobox Verse Verse 32 of Surah al-Hajj is a verse that was relied upon in the al-Ghadir Sermon to designate Hajj and 'Umra as divine symbols (sha'a'ir Allah), and the revival of which was considered the revival of God's religion.

The Prophet (s) emphasized four important aspects regarding Hajj and 'Umra in the al-Ghadir Sermon; among them, he stated that Hajj and 'Umra are among the divine symbols: وَ مَنْ یُعَظِّمْ شَعائِرَ اللَّهِ فَإنَّها مِنْ تَقْوَی الْقُلُوبِ,That (is the pilgrimage)! And whoever honors the symbols of Allah, indeed it is from the piety of hearts. The revival of divine symbols is the revival of God's religion.[1]
