Verse seven of Sura al-Anfal is known as a verse cited in Ziyarat al-Ghadiriyya by Imam al-Hadi (a). The context for relying on this verse in this sermon has been analyzed as follows: one of the profound concepts in Ziyarat al-Ghadiriyya is the relationship between the Quranic verses and the wilaya, imamate, and Amir al-Mu'minin (a).

Imam al-Hadi (a), while recounting important and prominent moments in the life of 'Ali (a), arrives at the events of the Battle of Khaybar: And the day of Khaybar, when God revealed the weakness of the hypocrites and cut off the root of the unjust people. Praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds[notes 1].

The Conquest of Khaybar was an important event; due to the manifestation of Amir al-Mu'minin's (a) valor on the one hand, and the fear and flight of the claimants on the other. But more important than that was the emergence of a hadith from the Prophet, who said during the Battle of Khaybar: "Tomorrow I shall give the banner of war to a man who loves God and His Messenger, and God and His Messenger also love him. He is an attacker who does not flee; he will not return until God accomplishes victory through him."[1]

The next day, individuals nominated themselves to take the banner, unaware that this matter was a divine command and the Prophet (s) was merely its executor. The meaning of this hadith is that the only one who is completely beloved of and loving towards God and His Messenger (s) is an attacker and fearless. Such a person is none other than Amir al-Mu'minin (a).[2]
