Al-Ghadir fi masadir al-fariqayn (The Ghadir in the sources of both sects), written by Ali Ya'qub Suwayf Qatifi, addresses the life of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam 'Ali (a), and the Hadith al-Ghadir on the basis of Sunni and Shi'a sources. Content of the Book
This book is written in three chapters:
- The first chapter deals with the life of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam 'Ali (a), from the perspective of Sunni sources and references.
- The second chapter consists of several sections: the first section provides a historical overview of the Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada') and the Ghadir pledge. the second section contains a comprehensive list of books and their authors that mention the pledge of Ghadir (Hadith al-Wilaya), comprising 520 sources in total. These sources are drawn from books of Sahih, Sunan, Masanid, history, biography (sira), exegesis (tafsir), linguistics, philosophy, theology (kalam), politics, and economics. They also include works by scholars and authorities from various Islamic schools of thought, including: Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, Hanbali, Imami, Zaydi, Isma'ili, and Ibadi. the third section is devoted to examining the chain of transmission and the implications of Ghadir.
- The third chapter addresses poems related to Ghadir.
